Changed rules for students from January 2007

From January 2007, guest students must have at least 7,300 SEK a month at their disposal for 10 months a year in order to get a residence permit for studies. The new rules concern all guest students from countries outside the EU/EEA. and represent a raise of 1,000 SEK a month. In order to get a residence permit the guest students must also show that they have enough money to support themselves throughout the entire planned study period.
